our mission
Our first mission is to maintain independence and quality of life for mature adults in the Lynden community. We achieve this by providing nutritional support through the congregate and home delivered hot meal program; providing opportunities to stay physically, mentally, and socially active; and facilitating cost saving and preventative wellness interventions to avoid the need for higher care sooner than necessary.

Our second mission is to engage with the community and provide a space for community meetings, gatherings, and opportunities for social engagements for all ages. This maintains a community that is friendly and welcoming to each other and visitors.
What we do
Volunteering at the Center is an amazing way to see your hard work bring smiles to so many faces.
Our lunch program is independent of the rest of the County's Senior Centers. It is not funded by any government entity, but is made possible only through private donations from the participants and the community. It is especially targeted to those 60 or over, but anyone is welcome for $6.00 per meal. Home delivered hot meals are available for the homebound in Lynden. Our meals are cooked on site everyday and the community is welcome!
Our space is open for drop-in activities including a tech room with computer and WiFi, Library, Games, Pool Tables, Workout room (training required), a variety of classes, Crafting, and more!
Our community is a place to make friends and have fun! We provide a daily "Coffee Hour," pool room, games, activity & entertainment programs, board of directors, various committees, and other social activities.
We offer exercise classes, arts & crafts classes, FYI presentations on Tuesday afternoons, LIVE entertainment on Fridays and more!
We have a volunteer-led gift shop filled with made-with-love gifts to feature seniors at work!
